The Call of Duty MWIII beta is reportedly facing multiple issues with some of its main gameplay elements, such as the FOV bug, Tac Sprint reset bug, Minimap red dot bug, and more. Here’s everything we know so far and the official statement from the devs.
FOV setting issues in COD MWIII
Multiple reports are emerging about a potential issue with the FOV setting in COD MWIII. According to the report, the FOV settings are changing in the middle of the matches.
A player on YouTube claimed that his settings were at 105 FOV, but at the start of the match, his FOV increased, most likely to 120 FOV. However, once he dies, it goes back to 105 FOV. This seems to be happening in almost every game of GW.
Similar reports are surfacing, all claiming that the game is suddenly resetting the FOV settings. Due to this sudden change in the camera angle, many players are losing their edge. Even as the reports pile up, there hasn’t been any official statement regarding this issue yet.
Tac Sprint Reset Bug and Minimap Red Dot Bug
Players are also reporting issues with the Tac Sprint reset. Tac Sprint reset refers to the ability to reset the cooldown of the Tactical Sprint mechanic, allowing players to use it again immediately.
In Modern Warfare 3, players can reset their Tac Sprint by pressing the melee button as soon as their Tactical Sprint ends. However, due to some issues, the input is not working for many players.
Aside from the Tac Sprint bug, players are also reporting a Minimap red dot issue. According to the issue reports, it seems the red dot indication on the Minimap is not showing player elevation.
Fortunately, this issue has been identified by the devs, and they are currently investigating it. There is no official release date for the fix so far.
