Call of Duty Modern Warfare latest update (v1.04) brings fixes to prevent crashes

A new update for Call of Duty Modern Warfare has gone live and has focused on bug fixes and enhancements. Call of Duty Modern Warfare was released on October 25, 2019, and Infinity Ward developed it. Activision has published the game.

Before getting into the latest update v1.04, let us discuss Call of Duty Modern Warfare game modes. Call of Duty Modern Warfare features three modes for players, which include the following: Campaign, Multiplayer, Special Ops.

The campaign mode is a single-player mode in which players can play as three characters – Sgt. Kyle Garrick, CIA Agent Alex, and Farah Karim, Leader of the Urzikstani Liberation Force.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare multiplayer modes features many competitive game modes that are supported with a lot of customization options. Under Multiplayer mode, you get an opportunity to customize your character’s loadout, killstreaks, and field upgrades.

In Special Ops mode, players get the chance to do complex missions with a Co-op PvE experience. Now, let us have a look at the latest update of the game and its patch notes.

The latest update to the game has upgraded the playlist of the game. Ground War has been enabled in the patch v1.04, and 10v10 Domination has been removed from Aniyah. FFA has also been added. The update also features many bug fixes, which can be read below.

10/25/19 – Title Update

• Backend fixes to help prevent against crashing across all platforms – if you experience a crash, please let us know
• Fix for a bug where players could earn more points when shooting specific vehicles while having Pointman equipped
• Improved ADS while using weapons without scopes on Xbox
• In some instances, some players were not able to complete the Highway mission due to an exfil bug
• Fix for the “Best of the Best” challenge not tracking progress
• Fix for the “Elite Sniper” challenge not displaying the correct description
• Fix for various camos not unlocking during progression
• Fix for the unlock criteria for the “Double Cross” reticle not progressing past 4
• Fix for the description and requirements needed to unlock some optic scopes in Gunsmith
• Fix for an exploit in Gunsmith when using mouse and keyboard

PC Specific:

Dev Error 6165: Players encountering this issue should try a ‘Scan and Repair’ through the Battle.net application. If this isn’t successful, a full reinstall might fix the issue.
