New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on February 5, 2020) follows:

More and more devices continue to get updated to Android 10 and Samsung’s phones are no different. We have seen Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9 getting updated to the new build of Android in a couple of regions. With that, it was only a matter of time before we saw the stable build trickling down to more variants of the Note 9 like the AT&T.

Earlier this week, we saw the Galaxy Note 9 in the US getting an update to Android 10. The update started rolling out to the US Cellular, Xfinity Mobile, Spectrum Mobile, and Comcast variants of the Note 9. However, users of the AT&T model had not received the update notification.

Fast forward to this week and it seems like AT&T has finally started pushing out the Android 10 update to the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy Note 9 units on its network. A number of AT&T Galaxy Note 9 users on the forums have reported receiving the much-awaited update.

The update which weighs in at a little over 2GB for the Note 9 has the January 2020 security patch level. It brings Samsung’s new One UI 2 that is based on Andriod 10. The Build number for this update is DTA4.

AT&T Galaxy S9 users are also getting updated to Android 10, at least according to reports on forums and social media. This update comes right on time, bearing in mind that earlier reports indicated that Galaxy S9 on the other carriers would get updated sometime in February.

This update also still packs the January security patch level and brings the same Android 10-based One UI 2. The update weighs in at a little under 2GB and can be identified by its build number DTA5.

If you are an AT&T subscriber with either the Galaxy Note 9 or the Galaxy S9 and have been waiting for the One UI 2.0 update to arrive on your unit, it’s time you check the update availability on your phone. You can do this by checking out your Settings » Software update menu.

For now, we are seeing reports of the update from only a handful of AT&T Galaxy S9 and Note 9 users. It is therefore only fair to assume that the rollout has just begun and should be happening in batches or waves.

If you haven’t got the update yet, sit tight, because that could happen anytime now. And if you have already received it, let us know how it’s treating you.

Update 1 (February 5)

AT&T’s official site has listed the DTA5 update for the Galaxy S9 and S9+. The site also has a detailed guide on how to update your AT&T S9 and S9+ to Android 10.
