New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on March 16, 2021) follows:

Supercell’s Brawl Stars is an immensely popular multiplayer and battle royale mobile game that gets new updates frequently to treat players with fresh content and keep them glued to the game.

But it seems the latest update has done just the opposite for players with certain Samsung devices.

According to fresh reports flooding Twitter and Reddit, after installing the latest Brawl Stars update, Samsung users are facing screen scaling issues wherein the content on the screen shrinks once the game is launched.

I have run into the issue with the new update. After loading brawlstars my screen shrinks to ¼ the size and it resized all the icons on my screen as well. This issue persists with my phone even after I restart it. I’m using Samsung Note 8 and I don’t know if it’s samsung specific (Source)

There is also a glitch that is affecting all samsung edges phones from what I gathered in Reddit, where the screen get resized to only third and everything else is black. (Source)

Was thinking it was just my phone. Samsung Note 9. (Source)

Here’s a video that shows the bug or glitch in action on the Galaxy S9.

Most reports online indicate that the screen scaling issue on Brawl Stars is affecting devices such as the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+, Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, and even the Galaxy S7.

Resetting the device is the only way to get the screen back to normal according to those who are experiencing the problem.

Unfortunately, the issue pops back up once the game is re-launched. But it seems that tweaking the screen resolution from the display settings works as a temporary fix as pointed out by a couple of users.

Your mileage may vary with the temporary workaround, however, the issue might not remain for long since the Brawl Stars Game Lead over at Supercell has acknowledged it already.

While the Brawl Stars’ Game Lead hasn’t shared any further details regarding the weird screen glitch on Samsung devices, it’s likely that it will be fixed sooner rather than later.

Having said that, this isn’t the only problem bothering Brawl Stars players. A recent report highlighted that the game is having issues with the servers which has left many players frustrated.

Luckily, Brawl Stars has acknowledged the problem too and posted a tweet claiming that the issue should be fixed after the short maintenance period.
