Welcome to Bloxburg is a popular life-simulation and role-playing game on the Roblox platform. Welcome to Bloxburg has accumulated over 5 billion visits, making it one of the most visited games of all time. However some Bloxburg players are unable to make it past the ‘Work in progress’ screen.

Bloxburg players stuck on ‘Work in progress’ screen

In Welcome to Bloxburg, players simulate the daily activities of a virtual person in a household near a fictional city. Jobs in the game can be divided into two categories: active and passive. Active jobs require players to move their characters around and pay a bit more per task. Passive jobs do not require players to move around, but can be boring.

Before players can enjoy the in-game activities and explore the city of Bloxburg, they are met with a ‘Work in Progress’ screen. This screen serves as a disclaimer, reminding players that the game is still in its early stages and may contain bugs and unfinished elements. It’s a common practice among game developers to include such messages, maintaining transparency and managing player expectations. Typically, all a player needs to do to proceed is click the ‘Continue’ button on this screen. This simple step should initiate the game and whisk them away into the bustling world of Bloxburg.

However, the problem arises when, recently, players attempting to click the ‘Continue’ button find themselves stranded on the ‘Work in Progress’ screen. It is important to note that this issue is not specific to a particular device or platform. Whether playing on a mobile device, console, or PC, players across all platforms have encountered the same frustrating roadblock. As a result, the issue is widespread and not limited to a particular set of players.

Issue acknowledged

The good news is that the issue has not gone unnoticed. The Welcome to Bloxburg support team has been quick to acknowledge the problem.
