Axie Infinity is developed by the Vietnamese studio Sky Mavis. It is an online video game based on non-fungible tokens. The game employs Ethereum-based cryptocurrencies to fuel its in-game economy.

In addition to its NFT integration, the game has similar traits with other online Android games.

It features an online ranked mode with a ‘Star decay’ system, which lowers players’ ranks if they fail to play a certain number of matches daily.

However, recent reports (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) indicate that players are losing their ranks even after meeting their daily match quota due to this bug.

This issue has generated significant player dissatisfaction, with concerns growing that progress could be entirely wiped out if the bug persists.
