Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla was released at the end of last year as the most recent version of the successful saga.

One of the most important elements of Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is Reda, a merchant from whom the player can buy items and obtain missions. However, after a recent update, the character is mute (1, 2, 3, 4, 5).

Reda not speaking after a recent Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla update

According to multiple reports, Reda is mute or not speaking after a recent Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla patch. The bug can present itself in different ways and with different severity.

You’re missing the point though, it seems that players are the beta testers for Ubisoft nowadays. It’s like they lack a ‘quality check’ team. It takes less than a day of playing to notice these things. Took me seconds to realize Reda lost his voice this time around, for example.

For example, in some cases the bug is simply audible. That is, the character does not say a word in the vast majority of situations. However, the player can keep buying items and doing his missions.

But, in other reported cases, players get an ‘Online service error’ message. This prevents them from buying any item from Reda or making his contracts/missions.

Hi, is anyone else having trouble while trying to see the items and quest from Reda?
I just got home from work and have been getting the message ” Online service error” everytime i try to get any Quest from Reda or to see the selection from his shop.
This is getting pretty frustrating with all the buggs and issues that appears constantly, i think im done for good with this crappy Sht game until is fixed at least to be playable.

Ubisoft is aware of the bug, fix in works

In response to some reports, Ubisoft’s support team confirmed that the company is already aware of the bug that is affecting merchant Reda in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla.

Hiya Zadidoll, our team is aware of this and working on a solution at this time. Please stay tuned for further updates on our social media channels, and thank you for bearing with us during this time.

They also confirm a fix is being developed. However, there is no information on an estimated arrival date for it.

Finally, affected players can only wait for new pronouncements from Ubisoft on the matter. Rest assured, we’ll keep you informed about all the developments that arise.
