Some Apple fans unhappy with new USB-C port on iPhone 15 series; call it a 'cash grab'

Fresh reports suggest that some Apple fans are unhappy with the newly introduced USB-C port on the iPhone 15 series.

An EU regulation enforced the use of USB-C for iPhones by Apple, and other countries, including India, later adopted it.

However, the company’s decision to switch from the Lightning connector to a USB-C port has started a debate among enthusiasts.

Those who have invested in lightning cables and accessories over the past few years are quite unhappy with Apple’s move.

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), several enthusiasts are upset as they now have to purchase an additional cable to connect with the latest iPhone.

Some are also speculating that the company will soon release new branded cables with so-called enhancements. And those who are not aware about the technicalities will rush to purchase them.

Furthermore, they claim that if one buys the new iPhone, they will have to replace not just their lightning port cords but their USB3 camera adapter as well.

A few feel that the upgrade is not worth it as the phone lacks a competent camera and display. Also, they argue that the company made the recent decisions with the aim of earning more profits.

Some people contend that the existing lightning cables and plugs are more durable and easier to clean. They also assert that a lot of individuals will experience issues because of the quick wear and tear of USB-C ports.

I’m gonna skip iPhone 15 pro. USB c is nice but my AirPods are still lightning so not worth it at this time ! 14 pro still great for me.
