With the release of Apex Legends: Ignite, developers at EA have promised players the Cross Progression feature, enabling the seamless transfer of player data, including cosmetics, currency, and progression across all platforms.

However, despite various reports on the internet, it seems that the feature has not been made available to everyone. Many players eagerly anticipated transferring their data to different devices with the new update, but even after linking their accounts, they report not receiving the prompt to initiate the process.

Cross Progression remains unavailable in Apex Legends

Apex Legends Season 19, titled ‘Ignite,’ has introduced numerous new features and content, including a new Legend named Conduit, updates to the Storm Point map, Cross Progression, and more.

Conduit, the new Legend, is a support character with shield-based abilities. The Storm Point map has undergone a significant overhaul, with reduced size and fresh Points of Interest like The Pylon, ZEUS Station, and Devastated Coast.

Among these new additions, the Cross Progression feature garnered significant attention from players. It allows players to access their progression data, in-game cosmetics, and currency via a single EA account, regardless of the platform they use.

However, even after linking their EA accounts, many players report not receiving the prompt to enable Cross Progression. Apex Legends supports crossplay on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC, amplifying the demand for cross-progression in the game.

Other changes in the update include a new feature called Promotional Trials, weapon adjustments, ranked changes, and more.

How to Enable Cross Progression in Apex Legends?

Although the feature remains unavailable to some players, EA’s developers have officially rolled it out. On a positive note, EA has issued a statement explaining why the feature hasn’t been made available to every player just yet.

According to the statement, the feature will be rolled out in waves to players over the coming weeks. This decision was made to ensure a smooth process and avoid overloading the servers.

The support team has emphasized that attempting to link or unlink accounts will not affect when players receive their Cross Progression prompt. The process is automated and will be applied to accounts according to a predetermined schedule, making manual manipulation potentially problematic and leading to delays.

When an account becomes eligible for Cross Progression, players will notice a window that pops up when they log into the game. Following the instructions provided on these screens is all they need to do.

Once they’ve completed these steps, their account will be successfully cross-progressed, allowing them to play on their preferred platform while synchronizing their progress across all of them.
