Apex Legends is a popular battle royale game that came out in 2019. It is available on Windows OS devices and older generation consoles (PlayStation 4 and Xbox One).

Apex Legends uses a free-to-play format that expands its accessibility to more people. Like other similar games, its developers usually send new content and challenges.

An example of the above is the bloodhound event that unlocks new rewards upon reaching a certain number of kills in the game.

Now, a recent glitch in Apex Legends is causing the bloodhound kill tracker to reset or not work properly. However, it is not the only issue that produces the bug (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11).

Some players are facing a bug that causes the bloodhound kill tracker to reset or reduce the counter. This seems to happen suddenly and without explanation.

Season 11 kill tracker reset

Do more people have issues with season 11 kill tracker? I was at around 200 kills on Bloodhound and it’s now gone back to 11 (the same amount as I have season 11 wins for some reason). My kills per season combined are also not the number of total kills I have.. More people have this and/or have the solution?

The issue in question also causes some players’ items, currency and even settings to be reset to default. In the case of Apex coins (the currency of the game), these reportedly disappear completely.

My game suddenly got reset in a weird way I need help

Yesterday I was playing for a bit and suddenly I couldn’t access the battle pass and my apex coins and everything were reset to 0, when I tried playing again I could only pick from the starter legends, I have invested a lot of money into this game and I would appreciate some help, Thanks in advance.

The possible reason for the problem

The issues could be happening due to the Apex Legends system confusing season 11 stats with season 12 stats. This means that the game ‘takes’ some kills obtained in season 11 and adds them to season 12.

However, this only explains the loss in the amount of kills from the Bloodhound tracker. There is still no explanation for the disappearance of Apex Coins and the reset of the player’s settings and items.

EA is already aware and working on a fix

The EA team is aware of issues with the Bloodhound tracking system. The company is working on a fix, but there is no ETA for it yet.

Update 1 (February 17)

09:54 pm (IST): Respawn has addressed the Bloodhound Prestige bug where damage counter gets reset, noting that the fix for this issue will be deployed early next week.

We are aware of a bug with the Bloodhound Prestige Skin where the damage counter resets in some cases. There is a fix in progress, and we plan to deploy it early next week. In the meantime, we are working on a make-good for lost progress—stay tuned for more details. (Source)

Update 2 (February 23)

12:58 pm (IST): Respawn released a new update for Apex Legends with some bug fixes. It also includes a fix for the bloodhound kill tracker issue.

We just pushed an update to
@playapex that included fixes for the following:

– Bloodhound’s Prestige Skin challenges resetting

– Enabling the leaver penalty for Control

– Certain Bloodhound stat trackers not working

– The first of several updates to address the fps issue on consoles (Source)
