Apex Legends – Mismatch ability bug makes the game confusing for players

Apex Legends is one of the popular Battle Royale FPS games in the gaming scenario. The season 3 brought some new cool content to the game and with that a fresh assortment of bugs as well. Latest of these bugs are causing a whole new ruckus in the game.

Apex Legends is quite different than the others because of the additions of legends in the FPS Battle Royale scenario. The abilities of the legends is driving factor which has led to the massive success of the game.

Each legend in the game has their own abilities which make the fights in the arena all the more engaging and creative. The sync of different legends make the game so fun the play.

The bug which was recently discovered by a reddit user who goes by the handle – /u/martinezqta is breaking this very aspect of the game. He took to reddit to post the bug.

The bug which is so bizzare that some players are even speculated that this can even be a fun limited time mode. The bug caused octane which was the selected legend by the player had Mirage’s abilities. Take a look at the video uploaded by the player here –

As you can see the player had Octane selected but the Mirage’s ultimate icon on the screen. This wasn’t just some icon display bug. The tactical ability of Octane is Stim but using the tactical ability caused Mirage’s Psyche out ability to trigger and it wasn’t mirage’s decoy. It was a replica of Octane!

The so called bug was suspected to not be a bug but instead a new fun limited time mode coming to game. The new mode could totally mess up the abilities and allow players could choose some other legends and have abilities of a different legend.

There has been no news on the matter from the devs. No prior leaks or announcements were made for this mode so it’s still not clear that whether it was a leak of something devs were working on maybe or it’s simply a bug.

At the time of the writing there was no response the devs. We will keep you updated if there is any comment by the devs on the matter.
