Apex Legend Season 10 update stuck, freezing, or having to download entire file again issue acknowledged

Apex Legends is a free-to-play online battle royale shooting game that has been making news for all sorts of reasons ever since it was launched in 2019.

It is developed by Respawn Entertainment, the same company that brought us the likes of Titanfall and Titanfall 2. The game shares the same world as the Titanfall Universe.

With over 50 million players by the end of the first month, Apex Legends is one of the most successful battle royales of all time.

Having said that, the game is published by EA Games and is available on both Origin and Steam. Nonetheless, the game has had a couple of issues here and there through its brief history.

A few hours ago, Respawn Entertainment just released the “Emergence” Season 10 update. But according to user reports, whenever they try to update Apex Legends, the process gets stuck at random intervals.

Players have tried downloading the update via both Steam and Origin, but reports suggest that both launchers suffer from the same issue.

Others have tried reinstalling the launcher along with the entire game, but it seems that is not helping as well.

Update gets stuck at 31/35%. I continue to have this issue even after reinstalling the launcher. It tops out and normalizes at a solid download rate and then slowly ticks down to 0B

Hey, so I did a download for 60gb through origin on PC which downloaded quickly. After that I had a second download for 10gb which is completely stuck. I asked my friends if they had a second patch download and nobody did. Has anyone else had this happen?? I played yesterday so everything was up-to-date no clue what it could be

If you are having issues with the Apex Legends update getting stuck, some users claim that disabling “Automatic game updates” in Origin, relaunching the client, and repairing has fixed the issue.

It looks like many players are trying to download the update, which has supposedly overloaded EA servers.

With the issue spreading faster than the Californian wildfires, EA has finally acknowledged and said that it is under investigation.
