Many modern cars come with native Android Auto integration. This connects to your Android phone and interfaces with your car to, among other things, allow you to use your phone hands-free using your car’s controls like its built-in mic and steering controls.

It can be frustrating when things don’t work well in your car and that’s what’s happening to Android Auto users. Many users have been facing issues after the latest Google App update.

A number of Android Auto users are reporting Android Auto’s text-to-speech speaking in English, despite their phones being set to different languages.

Hello everyone,
I’m french, I have a galaxy s10 in french, I use Android auto in french but when I receive a text message Mrs. Google switch to English and try to read the name of the expeditor and the message in English even if it’s in French.
It’s hilarious but not very understandable.
When I receive text messages from telegram, everything is in French as wanted.
Did someone have this kind of issue? Some ideas

Another issue that some Android Auto users are facing involves steering wheel controls. According to reports, after updating to the latest Android Auto version 5.0.500224-release, some users are not able to use the call control buttons on the steering wheel.

This issue is alleged to have been caused by an update to the latest Google app. Luckily, Google is aware of this bug and many more that it says it is working on.

It is refreshing to see a company acknowledging bugs that users are facing. Keeping users updated on the progress of fixes is also a very welcome move from Google.
