While on one hand, there is no stopping Nokia from delivering the latest security or Android 10 updates for its devices, there are certain OEMs like Samsung, that are facing issues and ultimately resulting in the delay of updates.

The latest information coming from Samsung suggests that most of the devices that were scheduled to pick up the Android 10 (One UI 2.0) update in May, will be pushed further.

This information has come in the form of a notice on the Galaxy Members app, in response to several queries about the Android 10 update for the Galaxy A50 handset.

The reasons stated in the notice point towards the lockdown imposed by the Indian Government, for containing the COVID-19 pandemic. Well, the statement seems generic and should be applicable for all the other Samsung phones, that was slated to get the update, somewhere in May 2020.

Here is what the official notice reads:

With the government’s mandate to observe complete lockdown, we’re experiencing a slight delay at our end to bring you One UI 2 updates.

Talking about the Samsung devices, that are due for the Android 10 updates in India, in the month of May include, Galaxy A6, Galaxy A6+, Galaxy A9 (2018), Galaxy A10, and A10s, Galaxy A20, and Galaxy A30s.

And if the OEM is facing issues in rolling out the Android 10 (One UI 2.0) updates due to the nation-wide lockdown for one device, which was slated to be pushed in May, then it seems well applicable for other devices scheduled for the same month.

As of now, we cannot confirm anything, because nothing concrete has surfaced about the delays in the updates for other devices. So, this information should be taken with a pinch of salt and only time will tell whether this notice is strictly for the Samsung Galaxy A50 One UI 2.0 update or other devices will also suffer?

We will keep you posted once new information related to One UI 2.0 (Android 10) updates for the Samsung devices in India, pops up.
