AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C case: Here's everything we know

Apple recently unveiled AirPods Pro 2 with USB‑C, the iPhone 15, Watch Series 9, and Watch Ultra 2 at its Wanderlust event on September 12.

The new earphones feature 2x active noise cancellation, an advanced transparency mode, and enhanced sound quality. In addition to this, the latest AirPods also boast improved spatial audio and a wider range of ear tip sizes.

If you have been wondering what all is included in the recently launched AirPods Pro 2, then you have come to the right place.

The big difference between the previous AirPods Pro 2 and the latest AirPods is that the latter come with a USB-C charging case.

The new case allows one to charge their latest earphones with an iPhone 15. Along with this, the new model also supports reverse wired charging, which can be helpful in some situations.

Ever since the reveal, people have been wondering whether they will need to purchase a new charging cable that is compatible with the case separately or not.

Luckily, Apple has decided to bundle the new earphones with a cable compatible with the MagSafe charging case. In addition, the package will also include silicone ear tips in four sizes, as well as the necessary documentation.

Folks (1,2,3,4,5,6) have also been wondering if they can buy the USB C case separately or exchange the Lightning case with it. Some say that they purchased the old AirPods Pro 2nd generation two months ago.

While others assert that they could earlier buy the Case, Left, and Right Pods separately from the store.

Naturally, fans are now eager to know if Apple will provide initiatives to accept trade-ins, given its commitment to the environment.

Sadly, one cannot exchange their old case for a new one, even if they have the AppleCare+ subscription. Also, Apple does not allow anyone to purchase the new case separately.

This means that one needs to buy the complete package, even if they just want to replace the case.

The recently introduced lossless audio feature, Vision Pro, has been specifically designed to work with the latest AirPods only.

Unfortunately, those who have the AirPods Pro with the Lightning charging case cannot utilize this functionality.

Bloomeberg‘s Mark Gurman recently reached out to Apple to seek clarification in this regard.

And Apple has confirmed that the feature is exclusively available on the AirPods Pro 2 USB-C case model only, even if both models are technically labeled as ‘second-generation’.
