Floorp v12.20.2 is now available to the public, and it was released on October 17. It brings up the Firefox base to v158 and fixes several issues that affect everyday use, including idle memory usage and resource consumption.
An official blog post was published that details the changes, and we have attached a screenshot of it below.

Here are the improvements with this update:
- Firefox base moves from 157.0.1 to 158, bringing Mozilla’s bug fixes and security updates.
- Idle memory reclaim now continues to work even after a restart (when it is enabled in settings). Previously, it could stop. Furthermore, closing browser windows or unloading Web Panels also cleans up resource usage better. There were also fixes with Chrome extension confirmation handling and command palette toggles, all of which reduce background activity and improve the efficiency of the browser’s resource consumption.
Moving on to more specific bug fixes, a screenshot of the Release Notes has been attached below for your reference.

Here are some of the specific bug fixes, simplified:
- Japanese input in experimental macOS Web Apps no longer replaces a composition with whitespace when Space is pressed repeatedly.
- Editing in macOS Web Apps is more reliable.
- The command palette slider changes will update the actual settings values.
- Theme and status bar buttons stay consistent in all of the remaining windows when one window is closed.
- Command palette display state works correctly after the feature is turned off and back on. Duplicate shutdown handlers are cleaned up.
- External links in Settings and the Welcome page now open properly.
