If you use Firefox and love gaming, you have probably spent years wondering why NVIDIA ignored Mozilla’s browser for its cloud gaming service. Chrome and Edge users could easily jump into GeForce NOW without installing extra apps, while Firefox fans were left out in the cold. That frustration is ending because official support is finally here for Windows users.

This launch comes right as Mozilla has been tweaking the browser under the hood. We recently saw Firefox working on major performance updates for Linux users to make video playback smoother, so seeing them tackle cloud streaming on Windows next makes total sense.

Now you can log in through the web interface, pick a title from your library, and start playing right away without waiting for long game downloads or massive storage updates.

The official blog post points out that both companies collaborated to fix performance hiccups and input delay, which are the two big problems that users can encounter when playing high-end games in their browsers.

Andrew Fear, Director of NVIDIA GeForce NOW, mentioned that Firefox earned its place on their supported browser list by delivering the first-class experience players expect. He added that they set a high bar for browser support and feel excited to welcome Firefox, giving millions of fans a new way to stream the games they love.

That means if you already own games across Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, or Xbox PC Game Pass, you can just sign in and launch them in a browser tab. Higher-tier subscribers can push stream performance up to 1440p resolution at 120 frames per second. That’s pretty great if you’re playing titles like Cyberpunk 2077 or Fortnite.

Of course, this is under the assumption that your home internet connection can handle the bandwidth.

Ajit Varma, Head of Firefox, called the partnership a milestone moment, noting that it brings one of the leading cloud gaming services to a browser built for privacy and flexibility.

If you want to test it out, update Firefox on Windows, navigate to the GeForce NOW website, and log in to your account.
