Google posted a Chrome advertisement demo that explains how the built-in AI mode can be useful. The specific example used was pottery, but you can also use it for baking, DIY, furniture — there’s limitless potential here.

A beginner at the hobby didn’t have the instruction manual, and she has created her own instructions using AI mode. You can find the exact YouTube Short embedded below.

For those unaware, AI Mode in Chrome is a built-in conversation-based search experience instead of looking up info based on keywords. It provides AI-generated answers and lets you follow up with extra questions as well. To access the feature, you can just click “AI Mode” in the search bar.

The video also shows how AI mode supports reference links. The person picked up a pot design from the internet and submitted that to the AI as the reference. Following this, photos of the available tools were taken and attached. A simple query followed: “How do I use these tools to make the reference design that I’ve shared?”

Google’s AI Mode followed up with a detailed answer broken down into various sections and a step-by-step procedure. It also explained how each tool can be used. You’re also free to ask further follow-up questions, or to simplify any instructions, customize the output, and more.

You can also use it for other hobbies, such as cooking. For example, I’ve attached a link with a reference cake image and mentioned the ingredients that I currently have. After that, I asked how I could bake it. Sure enough, it followed up with a step-by-step guide that was easy to follow. The response also included the source links for further digging.

Similarly, you can come up with your own queries for Google AI Search.

In other Chrome news, Google is testing a new way to verify your email address without making you dig through your inbox for a code. More on that here.
