Microsoft SMS Organizer shutdown is imminent as users begin receiving notifications

Microsoft SMS Organizer was globally released in 2019; it was in beta for a while in India before that. The reception was positive at the time of launch, and many people still use it to this day, because it’s a free app that works really well.

It’s always suggested to research the data privacy policies when installing such third-party tools.

In 2026, we’ve also seen Microsoft close down the Microsoft Lens app, and the SMS Organizer will soon join the list.
