Google Search seems to be broken and not working for users around the world. The search page itself is loading fine, but when users enter a query, they see the following error: “We’re sorry but it appears that there has been an internal server error while processing your request. Our engineers have been notified and are working to resolve the issue.”
This error suggests that there’s an ongoing server-side outage and Google is working on a fix.
As you might expect with the biggest search engine in the world going down, reports and chatter about it are flooding platforms like X. A quick search reveals posts popping up every few seconds asking if Google is down for everyone.
Downdetector also shows a sudden spike in reports.
There’s no official word from Google about the situation, apart from the notice on the website when attempting to search.
In my testing, I briefly encountered the error, but it started working again in a matter of minutes. However, not everyone has the same luck. Other members in our team are reporting the same issue.
Still, it suggests a fix might be live very soon.
