Clash of Clans players are dealing with a highly frustrating bug this weekend that forces the game to reload right as they try to attack.

Players are losing out on potential targets worth over 2 million gold and massive amounts of dark elixir. The app suddenly stops working and throws a “client and server are out of sync” error message on the screen, asking you to check your application store.

From what I was able to deduce by checking complaints on X, the game runs fine when skipping past regular bases. The error only seems to trigger when the matchmaking system finally pulls up a target with heavy loot.

As expected, players are annoyed with this. Many are just trying to participate in the current Golden Dragon event using their temporary ultra troops.

One Reddit thread is full of users sharing how they lost millions in resources because of the sudden disconnect. Players say they hit the error screen exactly when a loaded base appears, booting them back to their home village.

Another popular post confirms the issue is widespread. Users from various town hall levels are reporting the exact same forced reload behavior today.

According to community moderators, there is no immediate fix coming. A moderator on the official Clash of Clans subreddit confirmed the sync errors are a known problem. They noted that since it is the weekend, a patch is unlikely to drop soon. The advice given to players was to basically just accept the lost loot for now and keep playing.

Naturally, players point out that the ongoing event is starting to look like a waste of time if the app crashes every time a good target shows up.

The bug also appears to be breaking other parts of the game. Clan War replays are currently glitched and showing incorrect attack results. According to the subreddit moderators, the replay system is completely bugged right now. It is failing to register when players use in-game boosts like potions or snacks.

This causes the replay simulation to play out completely differently than the actual live attack did. A three-star attack might look like a one-star fail if you watch it back later. The actual war map results are still accurate, so your clan is not losing real stars. You just cannot trust the replay video to show you the truth today.

Supercell has not yet provided any timeline for a fix.
