Update 13/05/26 – 10:31 am (IST): X’s Head of Product, Nikita Bier, has officially announced the rollout of the new History tab, starting with iOS users. This confirms earlier reports and officially consolidates Bookmarks, Long Videos, Articles, and Likes into a single, dedicated space.

According to Bier, the shift is designed to help users keep track of their favorite content and create a better environment for catching up on long-form media away from the fast-paced timeline.

Original article published on May 03, 2026, follows:

X is tweaking the way we view our liked posts, and a lot of people are reporting that the Likes tab is missing from their app entirely. The company isn’t removing the tab; Likes are being shifted to a different area called “History.”

A lot of users are questioning why their Likes tab is not visible, and a few seem fairly upset about it. The Likes tab is supposed to be present after the Activities tab or the Media tab, but it’s reportedly not visible for a lot of people. There are plenty of reports on Reddit confirming the same.

I’ve checked for the change myself, but the Likes tab remains visible on both the mobile app and the web app. From this, we can deduce that the feature has rolled out to a few people.

Since the affected users are unaware of the location of the Likes tab being changed, they’ve assumed that it’s no longer present.

People claim to have access to the Likes tab.

I don’t have access to the new History tab yet on iOS, Android, or the web app, and it appears to be a phased rollout.

What is the History tab exactly? X is reportedly working on a new tab, which would be merged with the bookmarks tab. This hasn’t rolled out to everyone at the time of writing, but a few people report having access to it. Recently, the company also added the Likes tab to the History tab, and in total, it contains four sections: Bookmarks, Videos, Articles, and Likes.

According to a reply from Grok, there’s no official timeline on when the feature will roll out to all users. It’s also unclear whether X would offer an option to revert the position of the Likes tab back to its previous spot. No such option is present at the moment.

The reception to this change is mixed, with a few posts opining that it’s cluttered, while others say the change makes sense.

So, if the Likes tab is missing on your profile, it has already been merged with the History tab. Keep an eye out for app updates to X, and do let us know whether you got access to the History tab yet, since it isn’t rolling out to everyone at the same time.
