A new brawler introduced in Brawl Stars, known as Damian, has sparked massive backlash across the Brawl Stars subreddit. This brawler features a trait that can charge his Super from damage received. The power results in an explosive kick that knocks back, ignites, and chains explosions to nearby enemies.

Reddit complaints about Damian.

As a result, players report Damian as an overwhelmingly unfair character, as it dominates all the game modes, like Brawl Arena. The brawler has a very high damage output, minimal counterplay, and threads explain that he creates unplayable conditions. Damian is a Mythic tank brawler that’s extremely overpowered.

Abilities of Damian via Supercell

The ability to wipe teams after just landing the first Super attack was heavily criticized. A lot of people refuse to play the game until this card is more balanced, including people who have been players since 2018. They call it one of the worst phases of Brawl Stars, just “stupid and broken.” Some others compared the situation to when Glowy came out with XP-doubling abilities, which made the game similarly annoying to play.

Players want to delete Brawl Stars.

Bugs only add to the issues. Damian can crash the entire game, which triggers Error 43 for all players. Supercell also disabled Colette (to fix errors), which is a potential counter for Damian. As a result, having Damian in an Arena game is pretty much a guaranteed win.

A few people proposed mass-reporting accounts using Damian for “cheating,” but this isn’t a good idea since Supercell can easily flag false reports, and this would not be effective.

Supercell has not issued any statements or emergency nerfs to the brawler yet, despite widespread calls for a hotfix. I’m hoping they address the situation by adjusting the Super charge rate, changing the explosion damage, and nerfing some other abilities, since it’s fairly annoying to play the game at the moment.
