Update 23/04/26 – 09:25 am (IST): Thanks to leaker @VadimYuryev, we now have several images of the new iPhone Ultra dummy model compared to existing Apple products for reference.

Here’s how it’ll look when unfolded compared to an iPhone 17 Pro Max:

In a separate post, Vadim Yuryev compared it to the iPad Mini:

Another post also compares the iPhone 17 Pro Max to the iPhone 18 Pro Max dummy. In the picture, it appears the iPhone 18 (right) has noticeably thicker camera rings compared to the 17 Pro Max (left).

Original article published on April 07, 2026, follows:

Known Apple leaker Sonny Dickson posted what he claims are the first physical dummy units of the iPhone Fold, iPhone 18 Pro, and iPhone 18 Pro Max, giving one of the clearest size comparisons yet between Apple’s upcoming foldable and its standard Pro lineup.

The dummies confirm the iPhone Fold’s noticeably square, compact footprint when closed. Leaked dimensions have it sitting at around 120.6mm tall and 83.8mm wide, which is shorter and squarer than any current iPhone. When unfolded, the inner display reportedly stretches to about 7.76 inches, putting it closer to an iPad mini than a phone.

In the comments under Dickson’s post, people have mixed reactions. Several people called the Fold ugly or too wide. Others pointed out the apparent absence of a MagSafe ring on the back, which would be a notable omission if true.

Separately, an X user also posted a video (original source not mentioned) showing the iPhone Fold and 18 Pro Max dummy units. You can watch it below:

On the spec side, Apple is expected to pack the Fold with the same A20 Pro chip rumored for the iPhone 18 Pro models, built on a 2nm process. RAM is pegged at 12GB, which is actually on the lower end for a foldable device. The hinge is rumored to use liquid metal to reduce the visibility of the crease, something that has been a long-standing issue with folding phones. Though Oppo has already eliminated it to some extent with their latest foldable. So it’s left to be seen if Apple’s first folding phone can take things a step further.

Pricing is the other big conversation. Estimates currently range from $1,999 to $2,500, which would make it the most expensive iPhone ever shipped. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has suggested initial shipments could land between 3 to 5 million units, a conservative number that reflects how unproven the foldable category still is for most buyers.

The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are also expected to land in September 2026, with a smaller Dynamic Island, under-display Face ID, and Apple’s C2 modem replacing the Qualcomm chip. The Pro Max may get exclusive variable aperture camera hardware.
