Instagram Story polls appear to be broken at the moment. Several users say they can no longer access poll breakdowns, voter details, or the “Share results” option on their active Stories, and the reports have been slowly adding up over at least the past two days.
As highlighted in a thread on r/Instagram that’s gathered dozens of responses, users say they post a poll, can sometimes see initial results, and then the data disappears. Tapping the poll sticker does nothing. Swiping up only pulls up a basic viewer list with no breakdown of who voted for what.
One user said they woke up to find their poll stats gone mid-Story. Another posted a poll six hours earlier, could see full details initially, then lost everything within the hour. Someone else pointed out that the “Share results” button had also vanished entirely.
I was able to replicate the issue on my end as well. After posting an Instagram Story poll, the sticker shows percentage splits on the Story itself, but tapping through yields nothing. No voter names, no breakdown, no share option. The data is just not there.
Apart from Reddit, at least one user complained about not being able to share their poll results on X too.
It’s not entirely clear whether this is a server-side bug or something introduced through a recent app update. At least one user in the thread specifically mentioned the issue started after updating the app, though others seem to be hitting it regardless.
It’s worth noting that the complaints are coming in across iOS and Android, and from users in multiple countries, so it doesn’t appear to be region-specific or device-specific.
We’ll update the article if and when there are any further details.
