Have you ever been annoyed by text selection in Google Messages? There’s a fix for that coming soon, and you don’t have to copy the entire message. Need a new phone for $300? Mint Mobile is offering a shocking deal on the Pixel 10. Read on as we unpack more.
Selective text copying issue fixed on Google Messages
On the latest Beta of Google Messages, you finally have the ability to copy only parts of a text message. You no longer have to copy the entire message and fiddle with it later. This was reported by Android Authority. Additionally, it seems to be a staged rollout, since not all Android phones have received it yet.

With the earlier method, long-pressing on a message only allowed you to copy the entire message. If you want to only copy selective parts, such as numbers, OTPs, dates, or other information, you have to paste it elsewhere and remove the other bits. Soon, you’ll no longer have to do that. You can only choose to select specific parts of the message, and the “Copy” button still exists if you wish to copy the whole thing.
Pixel’s VPN popularity doesn’t appear to be that high
While VPN from Google is free for Pixel users, a limited survey conducted by Android Authority suggests that it isn’t very popular. It routes internet traffic through Google’s servers and hides your IP address from your ISP. The survey consisted of over 2000 votes, and less than 50% of readers voted that they use the feature. It appears that many people don’t even know that the feature exists.

Comments suggest that battery drain is one of the reasons for not using it, alongside a lack of trust in Google, as the company may use this data.
An excellent Pixel 10 deal at Mint Mobile
Finally, the Pixel 10 just got a massive discount through Mint Mobile, which makes it one of the best options for the price. The Pixel 10a came out recently with abnormally huge bezels, a weak chip, and minimal upgrades from its predecessor. While the Pixel 10 at full launch price was not a shockingly amazing value proposition either, this deal from Mint Mobile makes it an excellent option. The phone costs $799, but there’s a $500 discount, effectively bringing the price down to $300.
If you factor in service costs, that’s an extra $180 for the entire year. Since Mint Mobile takes care of unlimited texts, calls, and data, as well as free calls to several countries, $480 for the Pixel 10 is a deal I can definitely recommend. As a product, it’s a far better buy than the Pixel 10a, offering a better SOC, much better battery life, and cameras that are way ahead. You can check out the deal here.
