Google has quietly started rolling out the first Pixel Camera app update of 2026, bringing version v10.2.095.854411128.10 to supported Pixel devices. However, the update is limited to Pixel phones already running Android 16, leaving users on Android 15 and older versions out of this release.
This marks the first Pixel Camera update since mid-December 2025, when Google pushed out version v10.2.095.839895361.09. While Google hasn’t published an official changelog for the new build, the relatively small version number bump suggests that this is a minor maintenance update, rather than a feature-heavy release.

What’s new in latest Pixel Camera update?
At the time of writing, Google has not disclosed any specific changes included in Pixel Camera v10.2.095.854411128.10. That said, minor Pixel Camera updates typically focus on bug fixes, performance optimisations, stability improvements, and backend tuning for newer Android builds.
Given that this update targets Android 16 exclusively, it’s also possible that Google is laying groundwork for deeper camera-level integrations tied to the latest OS features, even if those changes aren’t immediately visible to users.
Not live on Play Store yet
Interestingly, the update has not yet appeared on the Google Play Store for our Pixel devices on stable and beta Android 16 builds, suggesting that the rollout may still be in early stages or limited to manual installs for now.

For users who don’t want to wait, the APK is available for download via APKMirror.
As always, proceed with caution when sideloading, though APKMirror is a trusted source for verified Google binaries. We will update this post if we discover any user-facing changes or significant features hidden within the code.
Android 16 requirement may raise eyebrows
The Android 16-only requirement is notable, especially since Pixel Camera updates have historically supported multiple Android versions simultaneously. This could indicate that Google is beginning to tighten feature parity between the Pixel Camera app and Android platform releases, a move that may become more common as camera features grow increasingly OS-dependent.
For Pixel users still on Android 15 or older, this update won’t install, at least for now.
As always, even minor Pixel Camera updates have been known to quietly fix long-standing issues or improve image processing behind the scenes, so eligible users may want to install it once it officially lands on the Play Store.
