Kalshi went down during NFL games, leaving users unable to access their portfolios or close positions. The prediction market platform crashed during the Bears-49ers game, blocking traders from cashing out as markets moved.
“Kalshi just went down during NFL primetime and wouldn’t let me exit a 55% gain – it went to zero,” one user posted on X. Others reported being stuck with positions they desperately wanted to sell.
The outage is preventing users from viewing their accounts entirely. Portfolios show $0 balances, and positions disappear from the interface. Reddit’s Kalshi community is filled with complaints about being frozen out during crucial game moments.
“Couldn’t cash out because your site was down. Reimburse me NOW,” wrote one user tagging Kalshi’s sports account. Another said they were literally on the cash-out screen when everything froze.
Multiple people said they’d switch to competitors, and some threatened legal action. “Need a settlement from this app,” wrote one trader as the 49ers game wound down. The frustration was obvious across social media, with users calling the app “trash” and “janky AF.”
Kalshi’s Discord reportedly told users they were “working it” but gave no explanation for the crash.
