Facebook users are reporting that the “Schedule post” option has gone missing, especially on Pages and professional profiles where creators rely on planning tools to keep content flowing.
The complaints are popping up across multiple Facebook groups, including Facebook Bonus Program Issues, where users say they can still publish normally, but the toggle or menu item to schedule for later just isn’t there. Alicia Santaguida wrote that she’d “lost this ability” in the comments of a post by Beth Kines asking if others are in the same boat.
In another thread, Armaan Ali said the scheduling option from his Page “has been disappeared,” and one reply immediately framed it as a glitch and suggested using Meta Business Suite instead. A separate post from Zachary Mcclintic echoes the same problem, with one commenter claiming Meta is “forcing people to use meta business suite,” while also complaining that the suite can be broken in its own right.
In the Women Entrepreneurs group, Amy Jacobs West asked if Facebook “did away with scheduling posts,” and commenters quickly got into the weeds about whether scheduling is available for groups, Pages, and personal accounts.
One user, Imani Virginia, says she uses a professional profile to schedule and shared a screenshot-like view of a posting flow that includes “Post settings,” “Post preview,” and “Scheduling options” alongside “Publish now,” implying the control exists for some accounts but not others.
Facebook’s official help documentation still references the scheduling feature, instructing users to toggle “Set date and time” when creating posts. The fact that the help pages haven’t been updated suggests this might be an unintended bug rather than a deliberate feature removal.
This schedule post feature not showing up on Facebook is frustrating Page admins who depend on batch scheduling to maintain consistent content output.
Several users are speculating that this is just another glitch in what’s been a rough period for Facebook. The platform recently dealt with a bizarre security alert bug that showed a 1969 deadline, and just weeks ago, an update hid who shared posts, confusing users who rely on that info to track engagement.
Meta hasn’t officially acknowledged the issue yet. For now, affected users are advised to try the Meta Business Suite as a workaround, though your mileage may vary.
