BREAKING: 𝕏 has launched a new feature called 'Inspiration'
— DogeDesigner (@cb_doge) December 18, 2025
It is a dedicated discovery hub designed to help creators, brands, and users find the top performing content on 𝕏 in real time based on engagement, region, language, and timeframe.

X is finally bringing back its Global Trending feature after a rather embarrassing false start last month. The feature is currently rolling out to users and offers a bird’s eye view of what the entire world is talking about rather than just your local bubble.
It’s a major step back toward the “global town square” ideal that has been a bit shaky since the platform’s transition from Twitter. When you think back to 2015, the trending sidebar was the pulse of the internet, but recent years have seen it become increasingly fragmented and localized.
Last month, X tried to launch this exact feature only to kill it less than 24 hours later. X user Michael claims that the initial rollout was likely the culprit behind some massive platform outages, leading the company to quietly delete its announcement posts. However, I’d take this with a grain of salt since X never clarified the reason for any outage on that day.
Whatever the reason for cancelling the initial rollout, the feature is back again, as spotted by numerous users, including us. The overhauled UI features a sleek Global Trending banner at the top of the Trending tab, complete with a cinematic image of Earth from space.
Clicking the “Explore” button takes you to a dedicated hub where you can filter by categories like News, Technology, and Business. The interface feels pretty modern, with rounded pills for specific hot topics like Donald Trump or NASCAR sitting just above a “Popular today” feed.
Alongside this, X is also pushing a new creator-centric tool called Inspiration.
As shared by DogeDesigner, this feature lives in the Creator Studio and acts as a real-time research lab for what content is actually performing well. You can filter by language, region, and even engagement types like most-bookmarked or most-shared posts over the last 30 days.
While some users like Wendy O worry this might just lead to more “algorithm-chasing slop,” others see it as a smart way for X to provide “the receipts” for what works.
I’m personally hoping these tools make the platform feel a little more connected and a little less like an echo chamber.
If you’re looking to boost your reach, you might want to check out the new Inspiration tab to see what’s currently hitting the mark.
