Update 24/02/26 – 03:16 pm (IST): Reddit seems to be removing r/All from the sidebar for more iOS and Android users. Reports have slowly been piling up in the last week or so from frustrated users who’ve noticed the removal.

That said, it seems like this is still in its testing phase since r/All still shows up for some users. In my checks on both Android and iOS using version 2026.07.0, I can still see r/All in the sidebar.

Update 11/12/25 – 10:49 am (IST): A Reddit admin also addressed an iOS report on r/bugs for version 2025.49.0, confirming r/all’s removal stems from recent UI changes while promising to relay user feedback about at least providing some entry point to the team.

Original article published on December 8, 2025, follows:

Reddit users are reporting that the r/all link has vanished from the mobile app, and the company says it’s part of an effort to “streamline the platform experience”. But here’s the twist: Reddit’s CEO just said a few days ago that r/popular was the feed going away, not r/all.

Multiple users noticed the change after updating to version 2025.48.0 of the Android app. The r/all link, which typically appeared at the bottom of users’ community lists, simply disappeared overnight. When users tried searching for it manually, the app redirected them to the Home feed instead.

A Reddit admin confirmed the removal in a response on r/bugs, explaining that users can still access the r/Popular feed (via the top left menu) or the Latest feed to see recent conversations across the platform. The company’s directing frustrated users to leave feedback on the Weekly Recap post pinned at the top of r/help.

For what it’s worth, I still see r/all in the sidebar on both the latest Android version and the most recent iOS build, which suggests Reddit’s rolling this out gradually as a test. Some users in discussion threads confirmed they still have access too.

The timing’s awkward because Reddit CEO Steve Huffman (u/spez) literally just announced (post removed) that r/popular “sucks” and would be phased out. He said Reddit was “moving away” from r/popular in favor of “better, more relevant and personalized feeds,” arguing that the platform has outgrown the idea of a single front page for everyone. Huffman claimed r/popular doesn’t actually represent what’s popular on Reddit — it just shows what highly engaged users like, which isn’t the same thing.

Now users are understandably confused about why r/all is disappearing instead. One commenter pointed out that Huffman specifically said r/popular was the one getting axed, not r/all. The community reaction has been overwhelmingly negative, with users calling it a “terrible decision” and arguing that removing r/all eliminates a fundamental aspect of the platform.

Third-party app users and old Reddit devotees remain unaffected for now. Users report that Apollo, Reddit is Fun (via ReVanced patches), Relay, and the desktop version of old Reddit still have full r/all access. And if you’re stuck on the official mobile app, some users found r/all still appears buried deep in the sidebar menu.

Reddit spokesperson Tim Rathschmidt told The Verge that changes to feeds are expected to start appearing for some users this week, though the company’s “still in the early stages of testing”. We’ll likely see more clarity (and probably more complaints) as the rollout continues.
