Rainbow Six Siege players got kicked from their matches earlier today as Ubisoft’s servers went down without warning. The outage hit both PC and console players, leaving thousands stuck on loading screens and unable to reconnect.
Players started flooding social media around 30 minutes ago, reporting sudden disconnections mid-match. One player on Reddit described finishing a ranked game only to see their match completely vanish from their stats, along with 1,300 elo points.
Others found themselves booted during crucial rounds with no way back in, even after multiple restarts.
This outage seems to sting a bit harder because earlier reports suggest players had already been dealing with technical issues over the past few days. Issues such as packet loss and broken voice chat have been reported for weeks now. “This is the WORST season siege has came out with,” one frustrated player tweeted, pointing out how communication issues make the game nearly unplayable in a title built around teamwork.
Some managed to get back in after three or four attempts, but the shop and battle pass remain completely broken for many users. Steam Charts data shows over 6,000 players got knocked offline during the peak of the outage. Multiple Reddit threads popped up within minutes asking the same thing: “Servers down?”
The reputation system didn’t help matters either. Some players couldn’t rejoin because they’d been flagged with “bad reputation” from previous disconnects, forcing them into casual matches just to clear their names.
Ubisoft hasn’t released an official statement yet about what caused the outage or when full service will be restored. But since this seems to be a typical outage, it will most likely be fixed within a matter of a few hours, if not sooner.
