If you’re staring at a blank Recap page on YouTube Music despite using the service all year, you’re not alone. Users across Reddit are reporting the same frustration, with many finding nothing but an empty screen where their yearly stats should be. YouTube recently teased the feature with a cryptic emoji reply, but the rollout hasn’t been smooth for everyone.

The main culprit? Your watch history settings. YouTube’s Community Manager clarified on Reddit that you need at least 10 hours of music listening between January 1 and November 10 to qualify for the end-of-year Recap. But there’s a catch that’s tripping up a lot of people: if your watch history is paused or you have auto-delete turned on for activity older than three months, you won’t get a Recap at all.

Interestingly, some users who meet all these requirements still aren’t seeing their Recap. Others are getting it but facing a different problem where the entire thing auto-clicks through in seconds, making it impossible to actually read anything.

One Reddit user mentioned they even have badges from June through December, but nothing’s showing up for the full year.

That said, the glitchy YouTube Recap isn’t the only thing that’s troubling people. YouTube Music Recap 2025 is also dealing with glitching and inaccurate data for those who can access it.

Meanwhile, Spotify Wrapped 2025 isn’t available in several countries either, so year-end music recaps are having a rough week across the board.

If you’re trying to troubleshoot, check your Google Activity settings first to make sure watch history is enabled and auto-delete isn’t wiping your data every three months. You can visit the official support page for detailed settings instructions.

Some Android users found success by adjusting their animator duration scale to 0.5x or 1x if the Recap is skipping through too quickly. Beyond that, you might just need to wait a bit longer since YouTube is still rolling out Recap globally this week.
