X is experiencing technical difficulties this morning, with users across multiple regions reporting issues accessing key features of the service. The problems appear to have started around half an hour ago.

Users are encountering error messages indicating that posts aren’t loading properly, with some seeing a “Posts aren’t loading right now” message accompanied by a retry button.

The chat functionality also seems to be affected. I attempted to access direct messages on the desktop version and was met with a “Your messages failed to load” error, with the main panel stuck on an empty state prompting users to “Select a chat.”

Notifications are also experiencing significant delays or failing to deliver entirely. User Manda Bendre reported not receiving alerts for replies, noting “I am not getting notifications for many replies,” with another user confirming they hadn’t received notifications for posts from earlier in the day.

Platform owner Elon Musk acknowledged the situation, posting a direct appeal asking users to reply if they weren’t receiving notifications or experiencing delays beyond a few minutes.

But that post was made a few hours ago, indicating that the notification problems might not necessarily be linked with the loading issues that seem to have cropped up under an hour ago.

That said, another problem that some users are noticing is that when they visit some’s profile, they see a pop-up error at the bottom saying, “The term you entered did not bring up any results.” The same user, Manda Bendre, also shared a screenshot of this, but there are dozens of complaints from others too.

The outage appears widespread but not universal. Downdetector has registered over a thousand complaints about service disruptions.

With this, it seems X users just can’t catch a break. Yesterday, folks with those fancy hardware keys got totally locked out of their accounts, thanks to a missed re-enrollment deadline on November 10. It looped them into endless “suspicious activity” hell on apps and web. The glitch hit millions, big names included, right as X was beefing up security.

Luckily, it seems the folks at X caught wind of the issue and addressed the problem shortly after. Nikita Bier responded to a complaint stating, “It was rolled back. It should work now.”

So let’s hope a fix for these other loading problems arrives sooner rather than later.

Developing…..
