While we’ve covered several bugs and issues with the Pixel 10 since its launch, it seems that it isn’t the only new Google product that’s popping up in headlines for all the wrong reasons. The company’s fancy Pixelsnap Ring Stand, which was supposed to bring MagSafe-style magnetic convenience to Android users, especially the Pixel 10, is already causing headaches for early adopters who are reporting loose screws and wobbling issues.

Reddit users have been vocal about their Pixelsnap Ring Stand problems, with some finding screws completely falling out and getting wedged between the case and stand. Here’s an image shared by one of the users:

Others report that the stand has become too loose to properly hold up their Pixel 10 phones. The issue appears to center around two screws near the hinge mechanism that simply aren’t staying tight. For a $30 accessory that’s meant to provide hands-free viewing, this is turning into quite the disappointment.

But it’s not all bad news in Pixel land. Android enthusiasts have discovered a neat trick for organizing their quick settings panel that Google apparently forgot to advertise properly.

The hidden feature lets users rearrange and customize their quick toggles in ways that weren’t immediately obvious, giving power users more control over their notification shade experience. Here’s a quick video I recorded for reference:

It’s one of those quality-of-life improvements that makes you wonder why it wasn’t front and center in Google’s marketing materials.

Speaking of marketing, Google is clearly feeling confident about its AI capabilities. The company just dropped a #bestphonesforever ad that takes direct aim at iPhone users, showcasing how Pixel phones can generate AI videos while iPhones are left behind in the artificial intelligence race.

This bold stance comes as Google ramps up its Pixel 10 referral program, which is gaining serious momentum. The company is betting big on word-of-mouth marketing, offering incentives for existing users to bring their friends into the Pixel ecosystem. People are getting 10 referral codes which they can share and get up to $500 in Google Store credit.

Given that we recently covered how Pixel phones are experiencing premium growth, it seems this strategy could help boost it further.

That said, the loose screw situation with the Pixelsnap Ring Stand is particularly frustrating because Google positioned these magnetic accessories as a major selling point for the Pixel 10 series.

Meanwhile, the quick settings discovery shows that Google’s software team continues to build useful features that somehow don’t make it into official announcements.

As for Google’s iPhone-targeting ad campaign, it’s a risky move that could backfire if Pixel hardware issues keep making headlines. Taking shots at Apple’s AI limitations while your own accessories are literally falling apart might not be the best look.
