Last week, it came to light that Google’s latest Pixel 10 series of smartphones are not behaving as expected with Android Auto. User reports highlighted one prominent issue: when connected to the car’s infotainment system, the screen just shows the Android Auto logo and gets stuck there. As per 9to5Google, while the AA interface does finally appear on the screen for those who waited for a few minutes, it’s still laggy to operate.

Not an ideal Android Auto experience, right? And nothing new for Pixel users I must say.

Anyway, a day after this issue was posted by a Pixel 10 user on Google’s own support forum, someone from Google’s Android Auto team responded, saying:

Thank you for reporting the issue. We have reached out to you via email for further assistance, please reply back to the same email.

Then, a day later, they posted another message, effectively acknowledging the Pixel 10 Android Auto problem:

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. This is a known issue that is impacting Pixel 10 users with certain vehicle models. A fix has been submitted and will be rolling out shortly. We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience.

Since then, I have been monitoring this discussion thread, and it won’t be wrong to say that I am not seeing a clear picture emerge out from the responses users have been giving.

While the person who originally posted the thread did confirm the issue got fixed for them, I can still see many comments wherein users say the problem still persists for them.

Still not working after the update on 2018 Tahoe

Still not working for me after the update. It took 5 minutes before the android auto screen launches and afterwards the touch screen is not working. When I click something there is a huge delay (minutes)

My AA has had two updates since getting my 10 and still a lag – UK Vitara 2016

Got my Pixel 10 Pro yesterday, and this issue is still happening, even with the recent AA update. My car is a Buick Envision 2018

Mine is still having the same issue. I got the September update too

i am having the same issue. just got the September update and still not working

It’s worth mentioning that there are many comments that do clearly confirm the Android Auto fix rolled out by Google did remove the problem. However, given the kind of comments I shared above, I think it didn’t turn out to be a universal fix.

While checking on Reddit too, I found many Pixel 10 users talking about connectivity issues with Android Auto. For example, the following comment clearly indicates that Google Support is aware that everything isn’t fine between Pixel 10 and Android Auto.
