It seems like the Pixel 10 rumor mill has got its first concrete evidence of Google’s next-gen Pixel flagship series being in the works, courtesy of a juicy leak by SmarPrix. As the title mentions, the model numbers of the Pixel 10 series have been spotted in the GSMA database.

According to the report, the Google Pixel 10 lineup will include a Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. So it seems there’s no big shake-up with a new addition to the lineup.

That said, here’s a breakdown of the model numbers: the Pixel 10 will be known by the codes “GLBW0” and “GL066”, the Pixel 10 Pro by “G4QUR” and “GN4F5”, the Pixel 10 Pro XL by “GUL82”, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold by “GU0NP”. These model numbers are significant as they confirm that Google has moved forward with regulatory filings, hinting at an official announcement in the near future.

One of the most talked-about aspects of the Pixel 10 series is the anticipated upgrade to the Tensor G5 processor. Google has previously partnered with Samsung for its Tensor chips, but the Tensor G4 faced criticism for not keeping pace with the competition in terms of performance and efficiency. Now, leaks suggest that Google is switching to TSMC for manufacturing the Tensor G5. This shift promises to bring substantial improvements in both performance and energy efficiency, potentially overcoming the overheating and power consumption issues seen in past iterations.

Looking back, the transition from Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 to Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 by Qualcomm showed how beneficial TSMC’s manufacturing process can be. The latter ran cooler and faster, solving the problems experienced with Samsung-produced chips. If Google follows suit, the Tensor G5 should offer a significant leap forward, enhancing not just everyday use but also gaming performance on the new Pixels.

While the Pixel 10A wasn’t listed in the recent GSMA database leak, there’s still speculation it might join the lineup later, perhaps after further regulatory checks.

As for when we might see these devices, the expectation is an unveiling around August 2025. With the model numbers now public and the promise of a new, powerful chip, the Pixel 10 series could be one of Google’s most compelling offerings yet.
