Currys has slashed the price of the Pixel 8 Pro for Black Friday, offering it at just £499 ($634), down from £749 ($951) — a solid £250 ($317) saving. This is one of the best deals you’ll find on Google’s flagship phone, and it’s available in black, blue, and white with 128GB of storage. If you need more space, the 256GB model is also discounted, costing £529.50 ($673) instead of its usual £959 ($1,218).

The Pixel 8 Pro has plenty going for it, including a large 6.7-inch display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, impressive photography capabilities, and seven years of major updates. It’s perfect if you want a phone packed with AI features, like advanced photo editing tools and real-time transcription.

While we’re Pixel fans, there’s no denying that these otherwise excellent smartphones aren’t great for stuff like gaming. So if you require the best raw performance from your smartphone, you might have to look elsewhere. But if you’re ready to experience the Pixel world or are simply upgrading from a previous model, the Pixel 8 Pro for £499 ($634) is a no-brainer.

If you’re in the US, there are some equally tempting Pixel deals. T-Mobile has a trade-in offer for the Pixel 9 that can get you the phone for next to nothing. Amazon is also knocking $100 off the Pixel 8a, bringing it down to $399, which is great if you’re looking for a more affordable option. And if you’ve been eyeing the top-of-the-line Pixel 9 Pro XL, both Amazon and Best Buy are selling it for $849 during Black Friday.

Whether you’re in the UK or the US, it’s a good time to pick up a Pixel — just don’t wait too long, as these deals won’t stick around.

I cover fast-moving stories across apps, online platforms, and everyday tech — phones, wearables, consoles, and whatever else people are fighting with this week. Bugs, rollouts, scams, policy enforcement, and the occasional internet-culture rabbit hole are all fair game. My goal is simple — make confusing tech news readable.
