Pixel Tablet owners, your time has come! Google’s VPN is officially available for download on your beloved slab of glass. No beta versions, no sideloading acrobatics — just a simple trip to the Play Store, and voilà, you’re ready to surf securely.

With the release of Android 15 QPR2 Beta 1, the VPN came pre-installed on the Pixel Tablet. But when Android 15 went stable, a sour “This tablet isn’t compatible with this app” message greeted anyone who dared to try downloading it. Ouch, right? Well, not anymore. As of now, stable users can officially install Google’s VPN and start protecting their online adventures.

It’s ridiculously easy to get VPN by Google running on your Pixel Tablet:

    1. Hit the Play Store, look up VPN by Google and install it.
    2. Once installed, use the “Open” button on the Play Store.
    3. Toss the VPN tile into your Quick Settings for speedy toggling.

And just like that, you’re all set to cloak your internet activity in Google-grade security.

Google never actually promised VPN support for the Pixel Tablet. It was, and still is, officially listed as a perk for “Pixel 7 & later.” However, a sneaky period in June saw the VPN working briefly on the tablet — until Google yanked it away with a server-side update. That didn’t stop savvy users from sideloading the app in November, but now, Google’s giving the thumbs-up for everyone to join the party.

Sure, it’s a bonus feature, but it’s a sweet one. With VPN support, the Pixel Tablet feels more integrated into Google’s ecosystem — because why should your phone have all the fun?

So go ahead, Pixel Tablet users. Download that VPN, secure your data, and enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing Google’s got your back.
