Google has officially rolled out a long-awaited feature for Pixel Watch users: the ‘100% Charge Notification,’ ensuring you’ll never miss the moment your Pixel Watch is fully charged. This feature, which had been available for select users since November last year, is now accessible to all Pixel Watch owners.

Announced via a community post, the new notification is enabled by default on all devices. Once your Pixel Watch hits 100% charge, you’ll receive a notification on your connected phone, letting you know that your watch is ready to be put back on. The best part? The notification is automatically dismissed as soon as the watch is removed from the charger.

This might sound like a simple update, but it addresses a frequent request from Pixel Watch users who rely heavily on the watch’s health and activity-tracking features. By getting notified right when the battery is fully charged, users can avoid overcharging, which over time can help preserve the watch’s battery health.

In addition to making sure you can keep wearing your Pixel Watch without unnecessary delays, this feature makes it easier to manage battery health. Overcharging can contribute to battery degradation, and now, thanks to this automated reminder, it’s less likely that users will leave their device on the charger for longer than needed.

It’s unclear why it took so long for the feature to be rolled out to everyone, but as of today, all Pixel Watch devices are equipped with it. Prior to this, users had to rely on workarounds like checking the Bluetooth Quick Settings tile or the Battery widget on their Pixel phones to monitor charging status.

For Pixel Watch owners eager to make the most of their device, the new ‘Fully Charged’ notification is a simple but useful addition that improves the charging experience.
