A recent leak has unveiled extensive details about Google’s upcoming flagship smartphone, the Pixel 9 Pro XL, including its specifications, pricing, and AI-powered features. The device is set to be officially announced at Google’s hardware event on August 13.

According to the leak, the Pixel 9 Pro XL will be powered by Google’s latest Tensor G4 chipset, paired with the Titan M2 security chip. The base model is expected to come with an impressive 16GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, with options up to 1TB available.

The smartphone will reportedly feature a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 1,344 x 2,992 pixels and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The screen will support an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and will be protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Camera capabilities have always been a strong suit for Pixel devices, and the 9 Pro XL seems to continue this trend. The leak suggests a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 48MP ultrawide lens, and a 48MP periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. The front-facing camera is said to be a 42MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture.

One of the most intriguing aspects of the leak is the emphasis on AI-powered features. The Pixel 9 Pro XL will incorporate Google’s Gemini AI technology, enabling functions like Pixel Studio for AI-generated images and Reimagine, which can transform objects in photos. An AI-powered Weather app will provide summaries and outfit suggestions, while Screenshot Search will allow users to find specific screenshots using natural language prompts.

Speaking of AI features, a leaked promo also shows off more features that you can check out here. This new leak also reveals pricing information, with the base 128GB model expected to start at $1,100, and the 256GB variant at $1,200. Interestingly, pre-orders may include a free storage upgrade to 512GB for the 256GB model.

While battery specifics weren’t mentioned in this leak, previous reports have suggested a capacity of around 5,000mAh with 45W wired charging support. The device is also expected to feature wireless and reverse wireless charging capabilities.

As with all leaks, this information should be taken with a grain of salt until officially confirmed by Google. However, the detailed nature of the leak and its alignment with previous rumors lend it credibility. With the official event right around the corner, it’s only a matter of a few days before we’ll likely see the rumors turn to reality.
