A recent leak has revealed Google’s planned launch offers and discounts for its upcoming Pixel 9 series, set to be unveiled on August 13. The promotional campaign, which will run until September 5, includes significant storage upgrades, trade-in bonuses, and free subscriptions to various Google services.
According to the leak, customers in France (and likely the rest of the EU) will be able to purchase 256GB models at the price of 128GB versions, effectively saving €100 (approximately $109). Additionally, trade-in bonuses of €150 ($163) for the Pixel 9 and €200 ($218) for the Pixel 9 Pro and Pro XL will be available, though these will be reimbursed later via a form submission.
The offer extends beyond immediate discounts, with Google bundling free subscriptions to its services. All models will come with three months of YouTube Premium and six months of Fitbit Premium for first-time subscribers. Pixel 9 buyers will receive six months of Google One’s 2TB plan, while Pro and Pro XL purchasers will enjoy a full year of the Google One AI Premium plan.
The leak suggests significant savings on specific models. The Pixel 9 256GB is expected to be priced at €749 ($816), down from €999 ($1,089). The Pixel 9 Pro 256GB will be available for €899 ($980), reduced from €1199 ($1,307), and the Pixel 9 Pro XL 256GB for €999 ($1,089), down from €1299 ($1,416).
Interestingly, the leak also mentions a Pixel 9 Pro Fold, hinting at Google’s entry into the foldable smartphone market in France. However, specific details about this model’s pricing or promotional offers were not included in the leaked information.
Google is reportedly claiming that customers can save up to €650 ($708) with these combined offers, though the exact calculations behind this figure remain unclear. It’s worth noting that while these details pertain to the French market, similar offers may be available in other countries, potentially with adjusted pricing and promotions.
As with all leaks, this information should be taken with a grain of salt until officially confirmed by Google at their “Made by Google” event on August 13.
