Looks like Google’s having a hard time keeping a lid on the Pixel 9. Another day, another leak – and this time we’re getting a juicy glimpse of the camera in action.

A TikTok account called Pixo_Unpacking dropped a bunch of new videos showing off the Pixel 9 series. But the real star of the show? A clip of someone actually using the Pixel 9 Pro XL’s camera. FYI, this is the same account that showed off the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL too.

The video gives us a peek at the default Google Camera app, and it looks pretty familiar if you’ve used a recent Pixel. We see the usual suspects: 0.5x for ultrawide, 1x main camera, 2x crop, and 5x telephoto. Nothing groundbreaking there. But then they crank it up to 30x zoom, which is pretty wild.

Now, before we get too excited, the UI in the video looks a bit outdated, as pointed out by the folks over at Android Authority. It’s possible this phone’s running an older version of the camera app. So maybe take this with a grain of salt.

I’m also slightly disappointed that Google seemingly still hasn’t been able to fix the transition between the main and zoom telephoto lens. Hopefully we see some further refinements by the time Google launches the Pixel 9 series officially.

PixoPhone also shared some comparison shots. They’ve got the Pixel 9 Pro XL next to the iPhone 14 Pro Max, and the regular Pixel 9 side-by-side with last year’s Pixel 8.

At this rate, Google might not have any surprises left for their big reveal on August 13th. But hey, who doesn’t love a good leak, right?
