Yes, you read that right! The Google Pixel 8 can effectively be purchased for just INR 9,999 ($120) through e-commerce platform Flipkart in India. But before you rush off to snag the deal, here’s what you need to know.

At present, the Pixel 8 is on sale on Flipkart at a 15% discount, dropping the cost to INR 63,999 ($766) from the launch price of INR 75,999 ($910). While this is a decent deal by itself, Flipkart is also offering up to a whopping INR 54,000 ($646) for exchanging an older phone. The exchange offer includes a bonus of INR 4,000 ($48), which adds to the device’s value that’s being traded in.

This exchange offer effectively brings down the price of the Google Pixel 8 to just INR 9,999 ($120). But…there’s a catch! Upon checking the list of devices that can actually be exchanged with a value of INR 54,000 ($646), I only noticed the iPhone 14 Pro Max. And while we’re obviously #TeamPixel members here at PiunikaWeb, exchanging a premium phone like the iPhone 14 Pro Max for a Pixel 8 isn’t something we can recommend.

Apart from that, Flipkart is also running some bank and combo offers. Here are the bank offer details:

  • You can get an instant INR 50 ($0.60) discount on your first Flipkart UPI transaction of INR 200 ($2.40) or more.
  • Enjoy 5% cashback with your Flipkart Axis Bank Card.
  • ICICI Bank customers can avail a massive INR 8,000 ($96) off on Credit Non-EMI, Credit and Debit Card EMI transactions.
  • For a limited time, avail an extra INR 12,000 ($144) off the listed price (inclusive of cashback/coupon).
  • Cleartrip hotel and flight bookings come with flat discounts of INR 1,000 ($12) and INR 650 ($8) respectively, along with 300 supercoins.
  • No-cost EMI option starting at INR 3,556 ($42.59)/month is available, with standard EMI plans too.

These are the combo deals:

  • Get an extra 10% off when buying a mobile and case combo from Alpha, April ’24, Google, or with a Spigen case.
  • Google chargers also come with additional discounts of 10% and 5% off.
  • Spotify Premium is available for INR 699 ($8) for 12 months. Sign up for Flipkart Pay Later and enjoy free Times Prime Benefits worth INR 20,000.
  • Make a purchase and be surprised with a cashback or coupon to redeem later!

So while you technically can buy a Pixel 8 for as low as INR 9,999 ($120), we wouldn’t recommend it. Instead, you can still exchange other devices and make use of the INR 4,000 ($48) exchange bonus to drop the price of the Pixel 8 even lower. Happy shopping!
