Are you in the UK and fancy a new Pixel 8a for less than a tenner? Google’s latest smartphone deal is the real deal, but you’ll have to act fast.

The clock is ticking though, with this offer expiring at 23:59pm on 3 June. So, get your skates on and secure your Pixel 8a before it’s too late. You’ll then have a whole month to send in your old device.

To bag the biggest discount, you’ll need to part with an Apple iPhone 14 Plus with 512GB of storage. That will knock a cool £490 off the Pixel 8a price, which currently is £499. Your phone must be in good nick, meaning it turns on, has no cracks, and boasts a functioning screen.

Some might argue that swapping a 2022 iPhone 14 Plus for a 2024 Pixel 8a could be a downgrade in certain areas. Well, the iPhone 14 Plus isn’t the only device participating in the trade-in program. Google is accepting a wide range of phones for trade-in, many of them older models you might struggle to get a good price for elsewhere. For instance, the iPhone 12 Pro Max (512GB) for £430, iPhone 13 mini (512GB) for £389, the Pixel 7 Pro for £348 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 for £347, among others. With many other different phones from Apple, Google, and Samsung eligible for the £150 bonus credit, chances are good that your device will be accepted.

Why the Pixel 8a, you ask? Well, it’s your ticket to Google’s flagship features without the flagship price tag. It boasts seven years of software support, a slick new 120Hz OLED screen, the same powerful Tensor G3 processor as the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, and Google’s latest AI wizardry, like Circle to Search.

The Google Store spoils you with free next-day delivery and flexible financing options. And if you’re a Google One subscriber (200GB or more), you’ll even get 10% back in store credit on your purchases. Now that’s what I call a win-win.
