Google Pixel and Android users with the Google Wallet app are getting some handy new features thanks to the latest Play Services update (v24.13). Going forward, you won’t miss an important card change in Google Wallet thanks to the introduction of in-app notifications. These alerts will let you know when payment cards are updated or when a new virtual card is ready within the Google Wallet app.
The update isn’t just about Wallet improvements. Android Auto is also getting a boost, although Google hasn’t detailed the specific changes. All the changelog says is the update introduces new tools for developers, hinting at the possibility of enhanced apps and smoother experiences within the Android Auto environment.
Google Play Services updates usually happen automatically in the background. If you want to check manually, open the Settings app > tap Apps & notifications and then See all apps. Scroll down and tap on Google Play Services > App Details >Update. If an update is available, you can trigger it there.
