Some Pixel 8 users are still grappling with Bluetooth connectivity issues, even after installing the January 2024 update. Users have been reporting Bluetooth-related issues on Pixel 8 since the device’s launch. And it seems that Google hasn’t addressed these issues even in the latest software update. Bluetooth problems have been an ongoing concern for users on various Pixel models, including Pixel 6 and Pixel 7, and now, the Pixel 8 owners are also facing similar challenges.
Several Pixel 8 users are reporting various Bluetooth-related problems with their devices. Users have complained about Bluetooth randomly disconnecting from devices or, in some instances, refusing to connect altogether. Additionally, some users are encountering difficulties connecting their Pixel 8 devices to their cars using Bluetooth.
Despite the expectations that the January 2024 update would resolve these problems, it seems that the issues persist for some users. Some recent reports also indicate that Bluetooth connectivity is still a problem for some older Pixel devices as well.
Moreover, one of our team members has also confirmed Bluetooth issues on their Pixel 7a. According to them, the Pixel 7a failed to pair with earbuds via Bluetooth. This indicates that there may indeed be an ongoing Bluetooth problem across Pixel devices that requires urgent attention from Google.
Fortunately, there is a workaround that has proven helpful for several affected users in resolving the Bluetooth issue. Some users have managed to alleviate the problem by opting to ‘Disable Bluetooth A2DP Hardware offload’ in the Developer settings. It’s important to note that while this solution has worked for some, it might not be effective for everyone.
While it’s unclear when Google will address and resolve this issue, we remain hopeful that the company will provide a permanent solution. Rest assured, we’ll keep you informed as soon as Google acknowledges and fixes the problem.
