Call of Duty Modern Warfare III is once again following its absurd pattern of bugs with the newly released weekly challenge awards. This time, the conversion kit for ‘The ETTIN’ is reportedly bugged in MWIII. However, on the positive side, the developers are aware of the issue, and the problem is under ‘investigation’.

What is ‘The ETTIN’ bug in MWIII?

‘The ETTIN’ conversion kit for the AMR9 in Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) is an Aftermarket Part and Conversion Kit that allows the weapon to have two stacked barrels that fire simultaneously, effectively doubling its damage output.

To unlock ‘The ETTIN’, players must complete any five challenges from week six in season one of MW3. However, due to a bug, players have reported being unable to equip ‘The ETTIN’ even after completing the required challenges.

MWIII The ETTIN report

This is not something new for MWIII. Previously, the game was under serious scrutiny due to the bugged state of the Jak Beholder rifle kit, Stormender priceless camo, RGL-80 forged camo, and XRK Stalker Sniper Rifle ‘no stock’ attachment.

Call of Duty MWIII has been criticized ever since its release. It was even made fun of by the beloved God of War actor Christopher Judge in the prestigious ‘Game Awards 2023’, where he commented on the laughably short offline campaign of the game.

However, the developers and the dedicated support team are not sitting tight at all. Even though the game is experiencing new issues almost every day, the team is also doing its best to patch them as soon as possible.

Official acknowledgement

The official Trello board of MWIII is proof that the support team doesn’t let any issue go unsolved. Almost every issue that has been reported so far has either been under investigation or has already been solved.

‘The ETTIN’ issue has also been acknowledged by the team. According to the official Trello card, the issue is currently under ‘investigation’. However, there hasn’t been an official ETA or release date announced for a fix yet.

The team is also actively investigating the ongoing issue with the weekly challenge bugs, and it is expected that in the future update, the issue may finally be fixed for good.
