In a new move to ‘conquer’ the Asian market, Google has teamed up with singer and songwriter Clare to both help promote Taiwan’s local music culture and the Pixel brand in the country, showing off the Pixel 8’s ‘Audio Magic Eraser’ feature.
Taiwanese artist Clare shows off the capabilities of Pixel 8’s ‘Audio Magic Eraser’
The campaign called ‘Very Beautiful Voice’ (translated from Chinese) aims to give exposure to talented representatives of Taiwan’s local music culture, among whom is Clare, a singer and songwriter who also works in the insurance business.
In a series of short ads, Clare shows a bit of the challenges of being a singer with regards to creating content and showing herself to the world. More specifically, one of the most annoying problems can be background noise, whether during an outdoor recording or during a live show.
For a singer, being heard is totally vital, but sometimes background noise doesn’t make it possible. So, Clare appears in two of the ads using the Pixel 8’s Audio Magic Eraser feature to eliminate as much as possible that unwanted noise that prevents the public from clearly hearing her song.
The ads want to show off the power of the ‘Audio Magic Eraser’ feature, showing not only that it is capable of reducing noise at a preset setting, but that you can even tweak the level of reduction you want until you’re happy with the result. Without a doubt, it is one of the most useful options in the Pixel 8 series, especially for artists and content creators.
That said, Clare not only shows the Pixel 8 series features that are useful for her work, but also for everyday situations such as taking a good-quality group selfie on the first try. In this case, the artist takes advantage of the ‘Best Take’ feature to fix facial expressions with just a few taps.
Taiwan is one of those countries where Apple dominates with the largest market share, followed by Samsung, while Google Pixel devices do not even appear in the top 10. So, Google will have to start from the bottom to try to come back and gain a foothold among the main smartphone brands in the Asian country. Will they achieve it? Only time will tell.
