New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on May 4, 2022) follows:
Founded in 2005, YouTube is the largest online video-sharing platform in the world. With more than 2.6 billion monthly active users, it is the second most visited website on the internet.
When it comes to user engagement, the platform surpasses its competitors like Facebook, Twitter, and Netflix, with people watching more than 1 billion hours of videos on a daily basis.
But issues such as missing upload date information and the research tab going blank have affected the overall user experience for many.
And as if the aforementioned problems weren’t enough, YouTube users are now complaining about playlists not showing up in search results (1,2,3,4,5).
Many say whenever they use search filters to find playlists, the platform says ‘no results found’. Common troubleshooting solutions such as clearing browser cache, switching to a different browser or reinstalling the YouTube app make no difference.
You can see in the image below how YouTube search results are not showing playlists.
Hey quick question. Does anybody elses youtube on phone just stop showing any searches when searching for something and then sorting by playlist? I tested on the computer without any connected accounts and it doesnt happen there

I don’t know if this question is allowed in this subreddit, but I’ll try. Well, I wanted to rewatch a few old let’s plays from my childhood, but when I searched up the playlists I could find them. They’re gone, all playlists on youtube are gone for me. When I pressed “Filter” and set it to playlists, youtube just said “No results found” as if Thanos snapped away all the playlists and they never existed … I’m so clueless, can anyone help?
